What makes a good swap for the driver seat in a p-71?

The best seat swap would be powered seats from a MGM or CVLX.

I'd like to find some velour seats from a more basic CV. I don't like leather and the standard cvpi seats are no bueno. But I've spent plenty on this crappy car for now. (The new front clip is being installed tomorrow.)

Home Depot bucket? Some kind of small recliner? Maybe a folding lawn chair?

In my crown Vic I looked at aftermarket seats, I think Corbeau had some. The stock seats were terrible but I bought another car because I hated the crown Vic so much, worst car I ever drove.

I wound up with my Vic because I made a stupid impulse buy. The CVPI seats are astonishingly bad and probably contributed to many cops' disabilities. Mine's a 2010 and surprisingly refined. I can't see paying for aftermarket seats though. I'll find some seats from a civilian Vic. I don't like leather seats...

I’d skip the civilian Vic ones as that’s what I had. They were horrible. I’ve heard town car ones are better for some reason but haven’t sat in them to confirm but I think they are all leather in that timeframe.

I thought the stock seat in my ‘02 was fine (at least for the first few hours). No idea if they ergonomically or installation-wise changed by 2010.

I think they are largely unchanged.
